  • Bought this as a joke gift for my boy's birthday because he never shuts up about his Grom. First monsoon of the year hit and he sent the group chat like 15 videos of it turning pink at a red light. Fit was true to size over his hoodie.   • Thought this was a gimmick. It is a gimmick. It's also the first rain layer I've owned that I actually want to wear, so whatever. Wore it over my mesh jacket for a 40 minute ride home in a storm, stayed dry, and it was solid black again by the next morning like nothing happened. Washed it twice so far and it still pops. Zips are legit, not the flimsy kind.

    How Fast Does it Change Color?

    The color shows the second water hits the fabric and spreads with the rain. As it dries it fades back to charcoal, usually within an hour off the bike. It's a reversible reaction, not a dye, so you get the change every ride.

    Yes!

    The shell has a water-repellent outer and sealed zips. It keeps you dry through city rain and a highway downpour. It is not a dive suit, so in hours of standing rain a base layer under it is smart, same as any rain shell.

    WetPrint black ink turns clear wherever rain hits, revealing a hot color base, from a few spots in a drizzle to the whole jacket in a downpour. It dries back to black on its own, so you look clean when it's dry and go hi-vis the moment it rains.
